You were walking down the street, scratch that you were running down the street, trying to make it to your job before the big hand hit 'very' and the little hand hit 'late'. It wasn't working out very well, but you didn't get plenty of stares as you half ran down the street to the building where you worked. You were almost there, when you ran into what seemed like a wall.
"Sorry about that," came a deep voice and you realized that it was either a talking wall or a very strong someone.
"No problem, my bad," you started, taking the hand he offered you and getting up. Only when you were standing did you see just how cute this talking wall was. He had classic blue eyes and neatly styled blond hair. You stand there a little dumbstruck.
"Oh, right, I'm (Name) (Last Name), sorry again about running into you," you smile and shake his hand.
"No problem, my name is Steve, Steve Rogers. May I ask where you are heading in such a rush?" You had a moment of enjoying his voice and smile, before you remembered that you had a job.
"Oh no, do you have the time?" You ask him in a rush.
"Uh," you groan, "I am so late, and so fired,"
"Well, now, this is partially my fault, here I'll walk you to work and explain it to your boss, I'm sure he'll understand," Steve smiles at you and puts a hand on your shoulder. You smile back, shyly.
"Really? You'd do that? Thank you, your my hero, seriously, you should have a cape and tool belt and giant shield," you joke while walking with Steve.
"Well now, I don't know about the cape, but the shield sounds ok," he smiles at you.
---------------this is the time skip telling you not to worry, America will come in soon-----------------------
You laugh at something Steve has just said as you walk in the office. You stop and look around for your boss when you are tackled from behind.
"(Name)!" Alfred screams as he hugs/tackles you. But in an instant he's thrown off and Steve is standing there, helping you up for the second time today.
"Are you ok, (Name)? That guy didn't hurt you? Don't worry I won't let him do that again," Steve sounded so worried and glared at Alfred, while he hugged you close as if to protect you. You blushed a deep red and opened your mouth to speak, but Alfred beat you to it.
"Dude! What's your problem? Stop hogging, (Name), she my friend and I'm her hero!" Alfred pouted angrily. He walked up to you and tugged your arm a little. "Who's this guy you're with? And why were you so late? I was worried!" You, much to your sadness, wiggled your way from their arms.
"Steve, this is Alfred Jones, my boss. Alfred this is Steve Rogers, my....."
"Date for tonight," Steve finished for you. You looked at him, blushing more red than the American flag, and nodded.
"My date for tonight," You say, smiling. This was only making Alfred pout more and get even more jealous. He liked you ever since you started working her and he wasn't about to loose out to this...guy! He couldn't even think of a good insult!
"And also, (Name)'s hero position has been filled," Steve smirked.
"Look, guys-" you started.
"As if, I'm the only American hero here!" Alfred yelled.
"Please, I bet you have a Commie flag in your garage!" Steve countered.
"As if! I bet you don't celebrate good old flag day!"
"Every year! I bet you've never seen the Statue of Liberty!" At this point you just sat down and watched this interesting battle of wits unfold.
"I live near it! I bet you've never had apple pie!"
"Every day for breakfast! I bet you fought on the confederate side of the Civil War!" That's it, you'd had enough. You sat down on the floor and pulled a Scarlet.
"Help, I've fallen and I can't get up, will some hero save me?" you said in a monotone voice. In an instant you had two hands in front of you offering to help you up and apologies for not noticing sooner.
"Look, you guys it's not a contest, Alfred why are you getting so worked up about this?"
"Because I like you more than this.....zero hero!" Alfred whined.
"That's not even a good insult," Steve snorted.
"Hey, look, Uncle Sam!" You yelled and pointed, both of them snapped their heads around and while they weren't looking you smacked them on the head.
"Ow......what'd you do that for, dude?" Alfred complained, rubbing his head.
"Because both of you are getting on my last nerve," You sighed and walked out of the building and away from them. They were both giving you a head ache and last time you checked, you weren't a Kindergarten teacher. You decided to go to a small cafe near your work and get some coffee to clear your head. You thought about Alfred and his apparent crush on you. He was funny and cute, but Steve was so sweet and handsome. Both of them were possessive and obviously didn't like to share, so it wasn't like you couldn't pick one of them.
"You look so cute when you're thinking," You jumped at the sound of Steve's voice and the fact that he suddenly appeared in the seat next to you.
"You look cute no matter what you're doing," Alfred said dreamily, from the chair on the other side of you. You sighed, why weren't you more used to this? You had a feeling you would be soon.
